My name is Tamara Brown and I am honored and elated to serve as the President of our esteemed chapter. I am thrilled to lead the Nu Mu Chapter into a new era of growth and impact, with much exuberance, to continue the legacy of Service and Sisterhood.

Our chapter, chartered at Queens College on June 2, 1980, stands as a beacon of sisterhood, service, and sincerity. Over the years, Nu Mu has extended its influence across Queens College, York College, and St. John's University, embodying the values of Alpha Kappa Alpha and uplifting the Queens community.

As we celebrate over four decades of unwavering commitment to excellence, we reflect on the rich history that defines us. The Nu Mu Chapter was founded by 14 visionary women who exemplified style, grace, and a profound commitment to our core tenets. Our legacy includes many exceptional programs, service projects, and a sisterhood that flourishes in diversity and strength.

This year, as we step into our 44th year of service, Nu Mu is excited to renew our dedication to Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. ®.
